Diamond Fire Safety has been appointed to the A2Dominion Refurbishment Framework.
A2Dominion is a leading UK housing association with over 38,000 homes across London and southern England, and thousands more in the development pipeline.
The four-year framework is for a programme of remedial works, including fire safety, and will result in the repair, replacement, adaptation and improvement of properties, blocks and commercial units.
Diamond Fire Safety has been appointed to Lot 1 - Architect Led Projects. This will involve around 35,000 properties and is valued at between £20m - £50m. The team will bring its specialist expertise to the agreement, offering the skills to install fire detection, alarm and suppression systems as well as fire doors.
Speaking about the success of the tender, Tim Sawka, Pre-Contract Director, said: “We are pleased to have been appointed to another framework that builds on our extensive experience of the public sector.
“Our specialist skills, combined with our in-depth knowledge of working with housing associations, will ensure buildings of all types meet the required fire safety standards.”
A2Dominion provides affordable, private and social rented homes, student, NHS and temporary accommodation, as well as supported housing and homes for older people. It also offers high-quality sustainable homes for sale and shared ownership, available through its FABRICA by A2Dominion brand.
While the group takes a commercial approach to housebuilding, all of its profits are used for a social purpose, with millions of pounds re-invested into delivering more new homes and better services for customers.
A2Dominion is part of the G15, a group of the largest housing providers in London.
Diamond Fire Safety’s appointment follows the recent announcement that it has also secured a place on The Camden Property Works Framework. The team is a contractor for Lot 3 – Fire Safety and Improvement Works, which comprises fire safety compliance, compartmentation, and fire protection and prevention, including the installation and upgrade of fire alarms, emergency lighting and automatic opening vent (AOV) systems.
