Diamond Fire Safety’s Chairman, John Gray, has also successfully steered Diamond Build PLC throughout its successful forty-year history.
During this time, John has been the Chair of the Haringey Education Business Partnership, and has consistently offered work experience to local schools, supported enterprise days and engaged in careers talks and visits for young people.
He was a Board Member of a local training company and sat on the Prospects Board for Careers at regional and local level, eventually becoming Chair of the North London Advisory Panel.
John has also sat on a west London Record of Achievement Board, was on the London North Business into Education Board, has been part of the Employer’s Consultative Group (for the Department for Education) on vocational education and for modern apprenticeships and has given evidence to the Cross Party Select Inquiry into Construction and Apprenticeships.
As Managing Director for Diamond Fire Safety, and Support Services Director for our sister company, Diamond Build PLC, Paul Brooks brings extensive fire safety and construction industry experience to the team.
Working alongside John Gray, Paul was instrumental in the formation of Diamond Fire Safety, in addition to Diamond Facilities Support and Diamond Leasing.
He sits on the board of all the companies within the Diamond Build Group and has led on numerous group-wide initiatives.
He actively oversees Diamond Fire Safety's approved procurement supply chain, nurturing professional relationships, and securing terms and deliveries, to become a trusted, preferred contractor.
With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Lenny provides overall management for each client site, working with the contracts team to ensure that each project is completed on time, within budget and to the required standard.
Lenny has also successfully overseen numerous fire upgrade projects and is FIRAS accredited.
He consistently receives extremely high marks from resident feedback questionnaires.
He also has an HNC building qualification.
Tim is responsible for the planning, procurement, execution and completion of contracts, including setting up each project team, client liaison, quality standards and health and safety.
With a background of key organisational roles in this sector, including working directly for a major London Council and implementing fire safety works, Tim provides a wealth of expertise, insight and inspiration to his team.
His previous projects have included the mobilisation of diverse upgrades within educational premises, which has become both a specialism and a personal vocation.
Zeqir oversees our direct labour and specialist sub-contractors throughout the installation of new fire doors, fire stopping, signage and all aspects of our installations.
He has provided 15 years of loyal service to the Diamond Build Group.
Since joining Diamond Fire Safety, Zeqir has supervised site works, in addition to being a multi-skilled tradesman.
He also liaises with residents in partnership with our Resident Liaison team, solving any issues that may arise.
Zeqir is FIRAS accredited.
Director of Surveying
Simon monitors, progresses, and controls costs to budget and agrees contract accounts. He delivers interim and final valuations to meet each contract’s timescales.
This also includes projections of client spend, which often allows additional works to be brought forward for the benefit of residents.
Simon’s duties also include the selection and appointment of any sub-contractors from within our accredited supply chain, ensuring best value and quality.
Simon is FIRAS accredited.
We would like to welcome our new Senior Estimator Paul Smith to out Pre-Contract Team.
Paul will be the lead estimator on our fire safety works and will work with our supply chain and sub-contractors to ensure we give clients our very best offer.
Paul brings nearly 40 years comprehensive experience in the construction industry in addition to his HNC and ONC qualifications.
Contract Planner and Co-ordinator
Jay leads Diamond Fire Safety’s dedicated team of Resident Liaison Officers who are fully experienced in providing all the information and considerations required by our clients' residents and occupants.
He is responsible for the planning, scheduling and consumer support of our contract delivery.
This includes supporting the operations manager with contract programs.
Jay designs, produces and distributes all required documentation and literature to the residents of our contracts.
We would like to welcome Ben McWilliams to our busy operational team.
Ben will take on the difficult role of Document Controller, ensuring all our contracts and operational duties continue to be correctly registered and recorded.
As a Masters Graduate with qualifications across multiple sciences, Ben is ideally placed to understand the complex details and documents that go towards the recording of our fire safety contracts, and will be a great asset to our delivery team.
